Players can control the temperature, adjust the atmosphere, and customize the landscape using a 2D overhead grid. May be I'll share sources files, if I drop project, so some other enthusiast could use it as start point. This is a simulation game in which players explore a new planet and use tools to create habitable living conditions for a civilization. ![]() I don't know, again, may be I'll try to get some money for it, if thing would be good, by donation or Steam (because I don't have real job). I'm not great coder either 3D artist, though I have several years of coding experience for employer or for myself. Just me, guy who always wanted to do games based on some physics/social models. I don't know, depends on people support, maybe January - February 2017, may be - never. Maybe some gameplay would be added, when model would be ready. Going to (hopefully) add evaporation and rainfall based on real-time calculations, also - wind flow, atmosphere heating based on cloud albedo, snow/ice formation, biom formation, probably some tectonics. I already got real-time water flow and ground erosion simulation, surface-space heat exchange, heat transfer by water flow and some visualization - screens and (new) some glitchy surface heat map. ![]() So I tried to do 3D planet simulator, but probably without life evolution (because true calculation for life evolution is extremely CPU-expensive and predeterminated evolution like in Simearth is not cool). I googled it and didn't find any ready remakes for Simearth-like games/models (not counting arcades like Spore).
